The Pixel 8a is anticipated to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display, Tensor G3 chipset, and a 4,500mAh battery.
As Google prepares for its annual I/O conference, speculation is rife about the launch of the Pixel 8a, positioned as a more budget-friendly alternative within the flagship Pixel lineup.
According to various media reports, the Pixel 8a is expected to carry a price tag of $499 in the United States, which roughly translates to ₹41,000 in India.
This pricing strategy aligns with the previous Pixel 7a, which debuted at ₹43,999 for the 128GB storage variant. Additionally, leaked information suggests that the Pixel 8a may introduce a 256GB storage option priced at $599, equivalent to approximately ₹50,000, as reported by Smartprix. Adjusting its pricing could potentially enhance the appeal of the Pixel A series, offering consumers a more enticing mid-range alternative.
Regarding specifications, rumors indicate that the Pixel 8a will sport a 6.1-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak HDR brightness of 1,400 nits, marking a significant upgrade from its predecessor’s 90Hz display.
The camera configuration on the Pixel 8a appears to be consistent with its forerunner, featuring a 64MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) alongside a 13MP ultra-wide lens. Selfie aficionados can expect a 13MP front-facing camera to cater to their social media photography needs.
