Raha Kapoor is the daughter of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the second granddaughter of Rishi Kapoor, who died in 2020.
In honor of her late father, Rishi Kapoor’s daughter and jewellery designer Riddhima Kapoor wished he was still around to celebrate the occasion with his two granddaughters – Riddhima’s 13-year-old daughter Samara and her brother Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s one-year-old daughter Raha Kapoor.
Rishi is remembered by Riddhima
Riddhima shared a picture of her father’s birthday on Instagram Stories on Wednesday. He is seated at the edge of the dining table, about to cut a homemade birthday cake, looking dapper in his black T-shirt. The background is also decorated with colourful balloons with ‘Happy birthday’ signs. Samara looks forward to eating the birthday cake while sitting on Rishi’s lap.
Riddhima shared a photo and expressed, “Wishing Papa a happy birthday (red heart emoji). It would have been wonderful to have you here celebrating with your granddaughters. Sam is all grown up now, and little Raha is an adorable mini version of you. I will forever treasure the memories we made together. Our love for you continues to grow every day (red heart emoji).” Neetu Kapoor, Rishi’s wife, also reposted Riddhima’s message on her Instagram Stories alongside others.
She also posted a picture on her Instagram account of a young Rishi blowing candles on his birthday cake while dressed in a black suit. In the comment section, Riddhima and actor Abhishek Bachchan left red heart emojis. Riddhima captioned the post, “In remembrance (red heart emoji) would have been 72 today (flower emoji).
An image of Rishi, Rishi, and veteran actor Jeetendra, all wearing black, was also posted by Rakesh Roshan, Rishi’s longtime friend and filmmaker. “Chintu Gone but never forgotten, your spirits still live in our hearts (white heart emoji)” he wrote in the caption on his Instagram handle.
Raha Kapoor’s biography
Almost two years after her father, Rishi Kapoor, passed away in Mumbai in April 2020, Raha was born in November 2022. As well as Riddhima, Alia has also compared Raha to Rishi. As part of Koffee with Karan season 8, Alia told Karan Johar that Raha looks like “Ranbir’s dad”.
The internet also claimed that Raha resembled Rishi Kapoor very much, despite the fact that Ranbir and Alia had not revealed her face to the public until then at the extended Kapoor family’s annual Christmas luncheon in Mumbai. A fan even used artificial intelligence to create a picture of Rishi and Raha, which Neetu fondly shared on Instagram.
In the meantime, Riddhima will make her screen debut in season 3 of The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.
